Meet our new interim pastor, Pastor John Kuperus.
John comes from the Reformed Church, and we welcome him to Glenwood Baptist.
We were searching for someone local who loves Jesus and is bi-vocational. Pastor John grew up in Sussex on a dairy farm, was pastor of Blyth Christian Reformed Church in Blyth, Ontario, Canada and served with Youth With A Mission in Kona, Hawaii. He owns a small business, Farmside Supplies, in Sussex and enjoys marketplace evangelism. John and Helen, his wife of 28 years, have seven children ages 26 to 16: Joshua, Brianna, Nicole, Alisha, Karissa, Anneke, and Caleb.
Pastor John will be helping us with three questions: Where have we been? Where are we going? How are we going to get there? As we open a new chapter, we pray (as Moses prayed in Exodus 33) that God’s presence will go with us because “What else will distinguish … us from all the other people on the face of the earth?” (vs. 16b)
